GETTING HERE

San Diego International Airport (SAN) in the heart of the city, is a 10-minute ride to USD and offers 500+ daily flights and nonstop service to more than 70 destinations. Major airlines fly to and from San Diego, including direct international flights (Munich, London, Tokyo, Montreal, Vancouver, Calgary and Toronto).

Other airport options include: Tijuana, MX international airport (29 kms away and a hub for Volaris), Los Angeles (LAX) (2-3 hours away, but with many direct flights to international capitals), and John Wayne Airport in OC (1.5 hours away from USD).

Shuttle Service:  San Diego has a trolley which connects many stops around the city. Unfortunately, there is not yet a trolley stop at the airport (although they are in the process of building one!).

 

The San Diego Trolley runs every 15 minutes throughout most of the day and every 30 minutes in the evening. The stop nearest our campus is the Old Town Transit Center on the Blue/Green Line. The USD Tram runs every half-hour from Main Campus to the Old Town Transit Center.

 

Rental Cars: Rental car services are available at any of the airports. We also recommend checking out Turo, as an additional option.
